Photime FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: Platform - with which versions of Microsoft Windows is Photime compatible?
A: Photime 2.0 operates only with Microsoft Windows. It has been extensively tested with Windows XP in its various versions. Earlier versions were tested with Windows 2000 and should remain compatible. Version 2.0 is in use with Windows Vista without any reported problems. However it is highly recommended that the demonstration version (available free of charge) is first downloaded and used to ensure not only no technical issues, but also that it fully meets your expectations.
Q: Non JPG files - my camera does not create .JPG files, will Photime still work?
A: Digital cameras often can create files such as .MOV (movie) files, .WAV (sound) files. These are not "photos" and do not have metadata, so the Photime functions are not relevant. Otherwise Photime requires the industry standard .JPG format with Exif metadata to operate.
Q: Tag Library Version - is it still current?
A: The current library is version 4. Photime 2.0 has only been shipped with this version, and is unlikely to require further updating in the foreseeable future. The version number of your installation may be seen in the 'About' box accessed from the 'Help' menu.
Q: Uninstall - how do I uninstall Photime?
A: The program item 'Uninstall' should be in the Start Menu's 'Photime' folder, this will directly uninstall Photime. Alternatively you may locate and run "C:\Program Files\Photime\unins000.exe". If on installing you used different locations then modify accordingly.
