What is better than encrypting the sensitive files on your system ?
Not having them on your system at all !
Embedded within another file they do not exist. JDHEmbed makes this process extremely simple.
If your friends have JDHEmbed, by sharing a code you can use JDHEmbed to securely send files over the Internet.
JDHEmbed received a 4 out of 5 points rating from PC-Welt magazine.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO IMAGES ?
The left
image has embedded within it the document shown left, the
right image is before the embedding took place. Both images are Windows .bmp files that look identical, however from the left image you can extract and re-create the embedded document whenever you need it. From one file you again have two.
Version 1 CD-ROM, Version 2 is by download. |
Any type of computer file may be embedded, a spreadsheet, another image file, even a computer program. In this case it is the word processor document shown above.
We all have documents we would prefer others did not see. In the days of paper we could hide them under the bed, with computers they generally remain in the computer for anyone to find.
With embedding being used, the original document's file need no longer exist on your computer, and only you know that it exists embedded within an image.
This is different to encryption, where the question always remains, "what is being hidden in this encrypted file?"
JDHEmbed is a very simple to use Windows utility. You may even encrypt the embedded file and not allow other users of JDHEmbed to know the existence of an embedded file by using a code word option.
JDHEmbed comes complete with an internal image viewer to readily identify images, it automatically compresses files to save space, and allows the image to hold the embedding to be cropped down to just the size needed. It even provides a file "Wipe" function to remove original documents in a way that they cannot be found or re-instated through utilities such as the Windows Recycle Bin.
Operating platform: JDHEmbed has been extensively tested with all 32 bit Windows PC versions prior to XP. It has since been extensively used with XP. Version 2.0 is in use with Windows Vista without any reported problems. If in doubt first use the free demonstration download software to confirm.
